拓鉢（上他各反切韻手承物也下北末反字書或作𥁊同即盂器也圖澄傳云澄燒香咒鉢須臾生青蓮花西域志云佛鉢在乾他越國也）。

Holding the alms-bowl (拓鉢: the first [character] is *tuo*, fanqie 他各. The Qieyun says: 'To support an object with the hand.' The second [character] is *bo*, fanqie 北末. Character dictionaries also write it as 𥁊, which is identical; that is, an alms-bowl vessel. The Biography of Fotudeng says: 'Fotudeng burned incense and incanted over the bowl, and in an instant blue lotuses grew.' The Western Regions Gazette says: 'The Buddha's alms-bowl is in the country of Gandhāra').
