Beating and striking (捶擊: the first [character] is *chui*, fanqie 之累. The Kaosheng says: 'Also means to strike.' The second [character] is *ji*, fanqie 古歷. The Qieyun says: 'To hit.' The Shuowen jiezi says it is derived from the hand radical 手 with 𣪠 as phonetic).
