[麩-夫+廣]麥（上古猛反考聲麥芒也又曰稻未舂者也作穬亦通下麥字俗作麥也白虎通麥金也金王而生火王而死也從來久作麥也）。

[麩-夫+廣]麥 (The first character has the fanqie gu + meng; the Kaosheng says: “The awn of wheat; it also says: unhulled grain.” It is also written as 穬. The second character, 麥, is written in vulgar writing as 麦. The Bohu tong says: “Wheat belongs to Metal; it is born when Metal flourishes and dies when Fire flourishes.” It has long been written as 麥.)
