祠祀（上似慈反爾雅云春祭為祠郭注祠又言飲也釋名云祠詞也謂陳詞以請也下詳里反切韻祭祀也爾雅云商曰祀郭注取四時一終也二字皆從示音視也）。

Spring and autumn sacrifices (祠祀: the first character has the fanqie *s- / c-*, the Erya states: "The spring sacrifice is called a ci (祠)"; Guo's commentary says: "Ci also speaks of drinking"; the Shiming states: "Ci means ci 詞 (words), referring to offering spoken prayers in supplication"; the second character has the fanqie *x- / l-*, the Qieyun states: "A sacrificial ritual"; the Erya says: "The Shang dynasty called it si (祀)"; Guo's commentary states: "It takes the meaning of the completion of one cycle of the four seasons"; both characters are derived from shi 示, pronounced like shi 視).
