睫瞤（上即葉反說文云目傍毛釋名云睫插也謂插於目匡也又云臉上毛也從目捷省聲也下如均反又作眴切韻目臉動也從目閏聲）。

睫瞤 [Twitching of the eyelashes]: The upper [character] has the fanqie 即葉 (jí + yè = jié); the Shuowen says, “The hairs beside the eyes.” The Shiming says, “睫 means inserted (插), meaning inserted into the eye-frame.” It also says, “The hair on the eyelids; it derives from 目 [eye] with an abbreviated phonetic 捷.” The lower [character] has the fanqie 如均 (rú + jūn = rún), also written 眴; the Qieyun says, “Twitching of the eyelid; it derives from 目 with the phonetic 閏.”
