齧損（上研結反禮記云無齧骨說文云齧噬也從齒㓞聲㓞音口黠反經文作嚙非）。
齧損 [Gnawing and damaging]: The upper [character] has the fanqie 研結 (yán + jié = niè); the Liji says, “Do not gnaw bones.” The Shuowen says, “齧 means to bite; it derives from 齒 with the phonetic 㓞.” 㓞 has the fanqie 口黠 (kǒu + xiá = qià). In the sūtra text it is written 嚙, which is erroneous.
