草庵（上亦作廾說文云百卉也從屮音丑列反像草木初生之形也並二屮艸也早聲下鳥含反切韻小草舍也韻英云庵廬也玉篇亦舍也從广奄聲也）。

Cǎohān (thatched hut) (the first character is also written as 廾. The Shuowen jiezi says: "All grasses; formed with chè, pronounced chǒu + liè, depicting the initial sprouting of plants." Two chè together form cǎo; with zǎo phonetic. The second character has the fanqie niǎo + hán. The Qieyun says: "A small thatched hut." The Yunying says: "A thatched cottage." The Yupian also says: "A hut; formed with the 'shelter' radical and the phonetic yǎn").
