指擿(上職雉反說文手指也從手旨聲下他曆反玉篇撥也切韻發動也案律以指挑擿也從手適聲古文又音擲又張革反今不取但依初)。

Zhǐtì (flicking with the finger) (the first character has the fanqie zhí + zhǐ. The Shuowen jiezi says: "A finger; formed with the 'hand' radical and the phonetic zhǐ." The second character has the fanqie tā + lì. The Yupian says: "To poke." The Qieyun says: "To trigger/move." Examining the Vinaya, it means poking and picking with the finger; formed with the "hand" radical and the phonetic shì. In ancient script it is also pronounced zhì, or has the fanqie zhāng + gé; now these are not adopted, following only the first).
