火𬋘（上呼果反尚書云火日炎上世本云燧人鑽木作火也下力小反說文云炙也考聲云火逼也從炙尞聲律文從火作燎亦通尞音聊燧音遂）。

火𬋘 (Singeing by fire: for the first character, fanqie 呼果 [huǒ], the Shangshu says: 'Fire flares upward.' The Shiben says: 'Suiren drilled wood to produce fire.' For the second character, fanqie 力小 [liǎo], the Shuowen says: 'To roast.' The Kaosheng says: 'Pressed close by fire.' It is formed from 炙 with 尞 phonetic. The vinaya text writes it with 火 as 燎, which is also acceptable. 尞 is pronounced 聊. 燧 is pronounced 遂.)
