【阿難迦羅】此云喜海。《玄》云：「持圓教。」《付法藏》有三：一、阿難，此云慶喜，傳聲聞藏。二、阿難跋陀，此云喜賢，持緣覺藏。三、阿難迦羅，此云喜海，持菩薩藏。《圓覺略疏》云：「略是一人，隨德名別。」

[Ānandakara] Here translated as 'Joyful Ocean'. The Xuan says: "He maintained the Perfect Teaching." The Fu fazang [zhuan] mentions three: first, Ānanda, here translated as 'Celebration and Joy', who transmitted the Śrāvaka Piṭaka; second, Ānandabhadra, here translated as 'Joyful Worthy', who maintained the Pratyekabuddha Piṭaka; third, Ānandakara, here translated as 'Joyful Ocean', who maintained the Bodhisattva Piṭaka. The Yuanjue lüeshu says: "Essentially they are one person, distinguished in name according to their virtues."
