【摩訶波闍波提】此云大生主，又云大愛道，亦云憍曇彌。此翻眾主。《西域記》云：「鉢邏闍鉢底，唐言生主。舊云波闍波提者，訛也。」
[Mahāprajāpatī] This translates as Great Master of Living Beings, also Great Path of Love, and also Gautamī. This translates as Master of the Assembly. The Xiyu ji says: 'Prajāpatī, in the speech of Tang, means Master of Living Beings; the old form Pojepoti is corrupt.'
