【曇摩耶舍】此云法稱。罽賓國人，少而好學，長而彌篤。神爽高雅，該覽經律，陶思八禪，游心七覺，明悟出群，幽鑒物表。欲苦節求果，天神語云：「何不觀方弘化，而獨守小善？」於是歷游諸國，譯《差摩》等經。

[Dharmayaśas] Here translated as "Dharma Fame" (Facheng). A native of Jibin. In his youth he was fond of learning, and as he grew up he became ever more earnest. Possessing a lofty and refined spirit, he broadly surveyed the sūtras and vinaya, cultivated contemplation through the eight dhyānas, and immersed his mind in the seven factors of awakening. His clear discernment surpassed the ordinary, and his profound insight saw beyond outer appearances. Wishing to seek the fruit through ascetic practice, a god said to him: "Why not look across the regions to propagate the transformation, rather than solely holding fast to minor goodness?" Thereupon he traveled through various kingdoms and translated sūtras such as the Zhama [jing].
