雪山大士，求半偈而施身；法愛梵志，敬四句而析骨。久沈苦海今遇慈舟，秉志竭誠采經集論，宜安像前燒香禮拜，息塵勞之雜念，游般若之法林，終卷掩帙攝心靜坐，照元明之本體，復常寂之性原，雖萬有以施為，然一無而亦絕。

The Great Being of the Snow Mountains gave up his body in quest of half a verse; / The brahmacārin Dharma-Lover split his bones in veneration of four lines. / Having long sunk in the sea of suffering, we now encounter this boat of compassion. Maintaining resolve and exhausting sincerity to cull the scriptures and assemble the treatises, one should place [this work] before an image, burn incense, and prostrate; silence the worldly thoughts of defilement; roam the Dharma forest of prajñā; and upon finishing the volume and closing the scroll, gather the mind to sit quietly, illuminate the fundamental essence of primal brilliance, and return to the nature-source of eternal quiescence. Although the myriad phenomena are actively deployed, yet even the single nonexistence is also cut off.
