【庵摩勒】肇曰：「形似檳榔，食之除風。冷時手執此果，故即以為喻。」《西域記》云：「庵沒羅果，而有兩種，小者生青熟黃，大者始終青色。」

[Āmalaka]: Sengzhao says: 'Its shape resembles a betel nut; eating it removes wind. When it was cold, [the Buddha] held this fruit in his hand, so it was used as an analogy.' The *Records of the Western Regions* states: 'There are two kinds of *āmra* fruit: the small ones are green when raw and yellow when ripe; the large ones remain green from beginning to end.'
