【優檀那】《妙玄》云：「此云印，亦翻宗印，是楷定不可改易。」《釋名》云：「印，信也。所以對物為驗也。」《說文》云：「執政所持信。」

[Udāna]: The Miaoxuan says: 'Here translated as seal, also translated as the doctrinal seal; it is definitively established and cannot be altered.' The Shiming says: 'A seal (yin) means trust (xin). It is that by which things are verified.' The Shuowen says: 'The badge of trust held by those who govern.'
