【阿蘭那】肇翻無諍，又云寂靜。《坐禪三昧經》云：「無諍者，將護眾生，不令起諍也。」什注《淨名》：「無諍有二：一、以三昧力，將護眾生，令不起諍心。二、隨順法性，無違無諍。」

[Araṇa] Sengzhao translated it as "non-dispute"; it is also translated as "quiescent." The Zuochan sanmei jing says: "'Non-dispute' means protecting sentient beings so that they do not give rise to dispute." Kumārajīva notes in the Vimalakīrti: "Non-dispute has two aspects: first, using the power of samādhi to protect sentient beings so that they do not give rise to disputatious thoughts; second, according with dharmatā without opposition or dispute."
