[Manojña (ṛddhi)] translates as as-one-wishes (ṛddhipāda). The Fajie cidi explains the four bases of miraculous power: "1. The base of miraculous power of desire: desire is predominant; one attains samādhi, fulfills the practice of abandonment, and cultivates the factor of the base of miraculous power; this is the base of miraculous power of desire. 2. The base of miraculous power of vigor: vigor is predominant; one attains samādhi, fulfills the practice of abandonment, and cultivates the factor of miraculous power; this is the base of vigor. 3. Miraculous power of mind: mind is predominant; one attains samādhi, fulfills the practice of abandonment, and cultivates the base of miraculous power. 4. The base of miraculous power of investigation: investigation is predominant. They are collectively called 'as-one-wishes' (ṛddhi) because the true wisdom within the four foundations of mindfulness and the right vigor within the four right diligences have vigor and wisdom in excess while the power of samādhi is slightly weak; having attained the four kinds of samādhi to gather the mind, the powers of wisdom and samādhi become equal, and all that is wished for is attained, hence it is called a base of miraculous power. If wisdom and samādhi are equal, one can sever the fetters, hence it is said 'the practice of abandonment is fulfilled.'"
