【泥縛些（桑箇）那】或云泥伐散那。《西域記》：「唐言裙（云云）。舊曰涅槃僧，訛也。既無帶襻，其將服也，集衣為襵（之涉切。《廣雅》襵，襞也。《通俗》文曰便，縫曰襵），束帶以絛。襵則諸部各異，色乃黃赤不同。」《釋名》云：「裠，群也，連接群幅也。」

[Nivāsana] Or written as nivāsana (nifasanna). The Xiyu ji says: 'In the Tang language, it means skirt (and so on). Formerly called niepanseng, which is erroneous. Since it has neither belt nor loop, when one is about to wear it, one gathers the cloth into pleats (zhe, pronounced zhishe; the Guangya says zhe means folds; the Tongsu wen says to pleat and sew is called zhe), and ties it with a cord. The pleat styles differ among the various schools, and the colors vary between yellow and red.' The Shiming says: 'Qun (skirt) means a flock, connecting a flock of fabric panels.'
