[Tūla floss] Tūla translates here as fine fragrance. The Yinyi of Ci'en translates it as ice. Or it is called dousha, which translates here as frost. These are all named according to color. It is also called tuoluo floss; tuoluo is the name of a tree, and the floss is produced from the tree, hence it takes this name, like willow catkins. It is also translated as willow blossom; or called tuoluo-er, which means downy fleece. The Xunwen says: 'It means the Buddha's hands are soft and supple, and additionally webbed, resembling this floss.'
