教傳東土（東標所至），法本西域（西顯所出），當聞香以尋根，故沿流而究原；辨佛陀僧伽之號，解菩提般若之名。隨機之語，雖曰無邊，旨歸之意，唯詮二諦。今就集末，略開七門。

The teaching spread to the Eastern Land (the East marks where it arrived), while the Dharma originated in the Western Regions (the West clarifies where it emerged). One should smell the fragrance to seek the roots, and thus trace along the stream to investigate the source; distinguishing the designations of Buddha and Saṅgha, and understanding the names of bodhi and prajñā. Although words adapted to capacities are said to be boundless, the intended meaning of their ultimate purport explains only the two truths. Now, at the conclusion of this compilation, seven sections are briefly opened.
