[Cīnasthāna] Also called Zhendan, or called Zhandan. Dharma Master Lin says: “The east corresponds to the trigram *zhen*, which is the direction of the rising sun, hence it is called Zhendan.” The *Huayan yinyi* translates it as the Land of Han, but this is poor Chinese. The *Loutan jing* says: “East of the Congling Mountains is named Zhendan. Because the sun first rises and shines upon the eastern corner, it received this name.”
