憍梵波提稽首禮　妙眾第一大德僧
聞佛滅度我隨去　如大象去象子隨

“Gavāmpati bows his head in homage / To the supreme, great virtuous saṃgha of the wondrous assembly. / Hearing that the Buddha has entered extinction, I follow and depart, / Just as when the great elephant departs, the calf follows.”
