余尋訶梨跋摩述論明經。樞機義奧。後進所馳。荊州暢公製傳。頗徵事跡。故復兼錄附之序末。雖於類為乖。而顯證是同焉。

I observe that Harivarman composed a treatise to illuminate the scriptures, its critical pivot and meaning profound, a work pursued by later scholars. Master Chang of Jingzhou composed a biography that somewhat verified the facts of his life. Therefore, I have additionally recorded and appended it to the end of the prefaces. Although it deviates from the category, its manifest verification is identical.
