8.23

太康七年八月十日。燉煌月支菩薩沙門法護。手執胡經口宣出正法華經二十七品。授優婆塞聶承遠。張仕明張仲政。共筆受。竺德成竺文盛嚴威伯續文承趙叔初張文龍陳長玄等。共勸助歡喜。九月二日訖。天竺沙門竺力龜茲居士帛元信。共參校。元年二月六日重覆。又元康元年。長安孫伯虎。以四月十五日寫素解。

On the tenth day of the eighth month in the seventh year of Taikang [286 CE], the Yuezhi bodhisattva-śramaṇa Dharmarakṣa of Dunhuang, holding the Hu manuscript in his hands and reciting it orally, brought forth the Zheng fahua jing in twenty-seven chapters. He transmitted it to the upāsakas Nie Chengyuan, Zhang Shiming, and Zhang Zhongzheng, who jointly served as scribal recorders. Zhu Decheng, Zhu Wensheng, Yan Weibo, Xu Wencheng, Zhao Shuchu, Zhang Wenlong, Chen Changxuan, and others together encouraged, assisted, and rejoiced. It was completed on the second day of the ninth month. The Indian śramaṇa Zhu Li and the layman Bo Yuanxin of Kucha collated it together. It was reviewed again on the sixth day of the second month in the first year [of Taixi, 290 CE]. Furthermore, on the fifteenth day of the fourth month in the first year of Yuankang [291 CE], Sun Bohu of Chang'an copied the silk manuscript with commentary.
