晉元熙二年歲在庚申。於楊州鬪場寺禪師新出云。外國四部眾禮佛時。多誦此經以發願求佛道。
In the second year of the Yuanxi reign of the Jin dynasty, the year Gengshen [420 CE], the Dhyāna Master newly produced it at Douchang Temple in Yangzhou, saying: 'When the fourfold assembly in foreign countries worships the Buddha, they mostly recite this sūtra to make vows seeking the Buddha-way.'
