沙門曇果西域人。學該內外解通真俗。於迦毘羅衛國得中本起經齎來至洛。以獻帝建安十二年歲次丁亥。翻中本起經（二卷）。康孟詳譯語。

The śramaṇa Tan Guo was a man of the Western Regions. His learning encompassed the inner and outer [teachings], and his understanding penetrated both the ultimate and the conventional truth. In the country of Kapilavastu, he obtained the Zhong benqi jing, which he brought to Luoyang. In the twelfth year of Jian'an of Emperor Xian, the year dinghai [207 CE], he translated the Zhong benqi jing (two fascicles), with Kang Mengxiang translating the spoken words.
