The śramaṇa Jñānabhadra, translated as "Wise and Worthy", was a native of the country of Paduma. He was thoroughly versed in the Tripiṭaka. In the wuyin year of Emperor Ming of the Zhou [558 CE], at Pogha Monastery in the city of Chang'an, together with Jñānayaśas, he translated: the Wuming lun (one fascicle). Yaśogupta and others translated the speech; the śramaṇa Zhixian served as scribe.
