The śramaṇa Saṅghabhadra—in Chinese, Zhongxian—was a native of the Western Regions. Harboring the Way with a broad and unfettered mind, his transformative beneficence was boundless. In the sixth year of the Yongming era of Emperor Wu of the Qi, the year jisi [489 CE], together with the śramaṇa Sengyi, he translated at Zhulin Monastery in Guangzhou: one work, the Shanxian piposha lü (eighteen fascicles).
