右失譯經者。興廢遞更經全失主。故今編之貽諸後代。大乘居先小乘於後。

Regarding the above scriptures of lost translators: with successive rises and falls, the scriptures have completely lost their masters [of translation]. Therefore we compile them now to bequeath them to future generations, with the Mahāyāna placed first and the Hīnayāna following after.
