大乘小乘闕本經者。自貝葉東垂年代遄邈。傳譯曠遠。正遡屢移。遂使教網飄零隨人遷沒。今詳刊定闕本如後。

Regarding the missing scriptures of the Mahāyāna and Hīnayāna: Ever since the palm leaves spread eastward, time has flown and the eras have receded. The transmissions and translations took place long ago; the standards and sources have frequently shifted. As a result, the net of the teachings has fluttered away and dispersed, vanishing in the wake of men. Now, having examined and verified them, the missing texts are catalogued as follows.
