*Changfang lu* and Zhu Daozu's catalogue state: Tripiṭaka Master Guṇavarman of the country of Jibin—translated into Song [Chinese] as "Armor of Merit"—arrived in Jianye during the Yuanjia era. He made this second translation at Qihuan Monastery; it differs slightly from Lokakṣema's eight-fascicle translation. See Zhu Daozu's catalogue and the *Gaoseng zhuan*. Later, his disciple Dinglin produced two more chapters, making thirty fascicles.
*Scripture on the Bodhisattva's Good Precepts*, one work in ten fascicles (one hundred and sixty-four sheets).
Baochang's and Sengyou's catalogues state: The monk Huiyi of Qihuan Monastery on the twenty-first day of the second month of the eighth year of Yuanjia of the Song invited the Śramaṇa Guṇavarman of Jibin to translate it at the monastery. Huiyi took down the translation. Two fascicles remained when Guṇavarman moved to Dinglin for the summer retreat; he had his younger brother Saṅghavarman complete it in his place. Before it could be copied out, the introductory chapter was lost. Later, after Guṇavarman entered nirvāṇa, it was copied as only eight fascicles, titled *Scripture on Bodhisattva Precepts* and also titled *Scripture on the Bodhisattva Stages*. At that time, Faqin of Qihuan Monastery composed a postscript to the scripture saying: Śramaṇa Faming of the same monastery had initially translated and received it together with Huiyi. Ming considered that the text revised and finalized by Yi was overly abbreviated. He took the initial manuscript again and deliberated upon it himself, likewise producing eight fascicles, titled *Stage Bearer*, and added an opening verse similar to those in the [Sāṃkhya] treatise. When Mohecheng died, Vinaya Master Yi searched and obtained the introductory chapter and the chapter on precepts, subsequently dividing and copying them to make up ten fascicles. Following the text of the entrustment, it was titled *Scripture on the Bodhisattva's Good Precepts*. Before they could be arranged in order, Yi passed away. In the tenth year of Tianjian, imperial orders were given to Baochang to compose a preface and determine the sequence of the various chapters. Extracted from Zhu Daozu's *Jinshi zalu*. Consisting of one hundred and thirteen sheets.

Sengyou's catalogue states: Dharmakṣema brought the Sanskrit text from India and arrived in Western Liangzhou, where he translated it for the King of Hexi, Da Juqu Mengxun. Appears in Zhu Daozu's *Hexi lu*. The two accounts are not definitively resolved, so two records are given. Sengyou says: it is a re-translation of the same scripture as the one translated above by Guṇa[varman], largely the same with minor differences.
