The above covers all translations and compositions from the Han to the Tang, detailing the reigns and eras of emperors and kings, together with the deeds of the translators. The teachings produced and so forth are arranged chronologically according to persons and dynasties, not following the order of the tripiṭaka. It also explains the similarities and differences between old and new catalogues.
