From the first year of the Tianjian era of Emperor Wu, renwu [502 CE], to the second year of the Taiping era of Emperor Jing, dingchou [575 CE], there were altogether four rulers and fifty-six years, with eight individuals of the clergy and laity. The sūtras, vinayas, śāstras, and various records produced, together with newly collected sūtras of lost translators, total forty-six works in 201 fascicles (among which forty works in 191 fascicles are extant, and six works in ten fascicles are lost texts).
