From the first year (*dingchou*) of Emperor Min (following ancient usage, there was no era name, simply referred to as the first year) to the first year (*xinchou*) of the Dading era of Emperor Jing, spanning five emperors and twenty-five years, there were four śramaṇas who produced fourteen works of sūtras and śāstras in twenty-nine fascicles (among them, six works in eleven fascicles are extant, and eight works in eighteen fascicles are lost).
