恩命今月十五日故大弘教三藏遠忌。設千僧齋賜茶一百一十串。伏戴殞悲啟處無地。不空誠哀誠恐以悽以感。故大和上道被四生化遷十地。輝容緬邈經此忌晨。倍增霜露之悲。深積鶴林之痛。

the gracious command that on the fifteenth day of this month, for the distant anniversary of the late Tripiṭaka Master of Great Propagation of the Teaching, a vegetarian feast for a thousand monks is to be set out and one hundred and ten strings of tea are bestowed. Humbly bearing this, weeping with grief, I find no place to stand; Amoghavajra is truly sorrowful and truly fearful, both lamenting and deeply moved. The late great preceptor's path blanketed the four modes of birth; his transformation traversed the ten stages. His radiant countenance is distant and remote; passing through this memorial morning redoubles the sorrow over the frost and dew and deeply accumulates the grief of the Grove of Cranes (Kusinagara).
