From the first year of Kaihuang (xinchou) under Emperor Wen, to the second year of Yining (wuyin) under Emperor Gong, succeeding across three emperors over thirty-eight years, ten monastic and lay individuals produced sūtras, treatises, biographies, catalogues, and so forth, totalling ninety-nine works in 345 fascicles (among which ninety-seven works in 311 fascicles are extant, and two works in fourteen fascicles are missing texts).
