Xiuxing fangbian jing, two fascicles (also called Xiuxing fangbian chan jing).
Translated by the Yuezhi upāsaka Zhi Qian under the Wu; single translation.
Concerning the above Xiuxing fangbian jing: when one closely investigates its title, it ought to be the same Indic text as the Dharmatrāta-dhyāna-sūtra. That dhyāna-sūtra is also named Xiuxing fangbian jing, and was translated by Juexian [Buddhabhadra] in the Eastern Jin era; it was composed by Buddhasena. Buddhasena was a native of Kashmīr and was Buddhabhadra's master. Between Buddhabhadra and Zhi Qian there was a gap of one hundred and forty years; Buddhasena had not yet appeared at that time. Classifying them as the same text is perhaps not appropriate; hence it is registered as an independent single translation.
