據八目錄為十六錄。八目錄者。一叡山澄和上錄。二高野海和上錄。三叡山仁和上錄。四靈巖行和上錄。五安祥運和上錄。六小栗曉和上錄。七叡山珍和上錄。八圓覺叡和上錄。十六錄者。一者灌頂法錄。二大日散錄。三金剛頂錄。四蘇悉地錄。五諸如來錄。六諸佛頂錄。七諸佛母錄。八諸經法錄。九觀世音錄。十諸菩薩錄。十一金剛手錄。十二普世天錄。十三護摩供錄。十四禮懺讚錄。十五梵字論錄。十六碑傳具錄。十六錄中各分部類。類類之中列經法名。名名之下更注人名。但恐繁文敢取一諱。覽者恕之。

Based on eight catalogues, this forms sixteen catalogues. As for the eight catalogues: first, the catalogue of Upādhyāya Chō of Eizan; second, the catalogue of Upādhyāya Kai of Kōya; third, the catalogue of Upādhyāya Nin of Eizan; fourth, the catalogue of Upādhyāya Gyō of Ryōgan; fifth, the catalogue of Upādhyāya Un of Anshō; sixth, the catalogue of Upādhyāya Gyō of Oguri; seventh, the catalogue of Upādhyāya Chin of Eizan; eighth, the catalogue of Upādhyāya Ei of Engaku. As for the sixteen catalogues: first is the catalogue of abhiṣeka rites; second, the miscellaneous catalogue of Mahāvairocana; third, the catalogue of the Vajraśekhara; fourth, the catalogue of Susiddhi; fifth, the catalogue of the tathāgatas; sixth, the catalogue of the uṣṇīṣas; seventh, the catalogue of the buddhamātṛs; eighth, the catalogue of the sūtra teachings; ninth, the catalogue of Avalokiteśvara; tenth, the catalogue of the bodhisattvas; eleventh, the catalogue of Vajrapāṇi; twelfth, the catalogue of the universal devas; thirteenth, the catalogue of homa offerings; fourteenth, the catalogue of reverence, confession, and stotras; fifteenth, the catalogue of Sanskrit-letter treatises; sixteenth, the complete catalogue of stelae and biographies. Within these sixteen catalogues, each is divided into sections and categories. Within each category, the titles of sūtras and ritual procedures are listed. Beneath each title, the names of persons are further noted. However, fearing prolixity, I have ventured to adopt merely a single taboo-name [for each person]. May readers forgive this.
