1.31

At that time, when the great assembly heard King Candraprabha praise the boundless store of merit of the fourteen kings, they attained great benefit from the Dharma. Right within the assembly, there were devas equal in number to the sands of ten Gaṅgā rivers, Brahma kings equal in number to the sands of ten Gaṅgā rivers, and ghost and spirit kings equal in number to the sands of ten Gaṅgā rivers, up to those in the three realms of existence, who attained the forbearance of the non-arising of dharmas. Asura kings of the eight classes transformed their spirit bodies on the spot, received the path in heaven, and entered the correct stage in three lifetimes, or entered the correct stage in four lifetimes, five lifetimes, or even ten lifetimes, realizing the noble nature and attaining all immeasurable retributions.
