"Great King! Not only does it protect blessings, but it also protects against all tribulations: in the case of illness, suffering, and distress, when stocks, manacles, fetters, and chains bind one's body, when one has committed the four grave offenses, created the causes for the five heinous deeds, incurred the offenses of the eight difficulties, or engaged in deeds of the six destinies, and throughout all immeasurable suffering and tribulations, one should also lecture on this sūtra, following the ritual method as described above.
