2.47

佛言：「大王！由贍部洲大小國邑一切人民，不孝父母，不敬師長、沙門、婆羅門；國王、大臣不行正法，由此諸惡有是難興。

The Buddha said: "Great King! Because all the people in the large and small states and cities of Jambudvīpa are unfilial to their parents and do not respect their teachers, elders, śramaṇas, and brāhmaṇas; and because kings and ministers do not practice the true Dharma—it is on account of these various evils that such calamities arise.
