「大王！往昔過去釋提桓因為頂生王，領四軍眾來上天宮欲滅帝釋。時彼天主即依過去諸佛教法，敷百高座，請百法師講讀般若波羅蜜多經。頂生即退，天眾安樂。

"Great King! Long ago in the past, when King Māndhātṛ led a fourfold army up to the celestial palace intending to destroy Śakra Devānām Indra, at that time the lord of devas relied on the teaching of the past Buddhas: he arranged one hundred high seats and invited one hundred Dharma masters to explain and read the Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra. Māndhātṛ at once retreated, and the celestial host was at peace and ease."
