2.69

「大王！破國因緣，皆汝自作。恃己威力，制四部眾，不聽修福。諸惡比丘受別請法。知識比丘共為一心，互相親善，齋會求福。是外道法，都非我教。百姓疾疫，無量苦難。當知爾時國土破滅。

"Great King! The causes and conditions for the destruction of the state are all of your own making. Relying on their own might, [rulers] restrict the fourfold assembly, not allowing them to cultivate merit. Evil bhikṣus accept individual invitations. Acquaintance bhikṣus unite with one mind, showing mutual favoritism, and seek merit through vegetarian banquets. These are the practices of non-Buddhists, entirely contrary to my teaching. The common people suffer epidemics and immeasurable distress. Know that at such a time the state will be ruined and destroyed.
