At that time, the Bhagavat again emitted immeasurable asaṃkhyeya rays of light of variegated colors. Within each ray of light, a precious lotus flower manifested, each having a thousand petals of golden color, upon which sat a transformed Buddha expounding the Dharma essentials. This Buddha light appeared wherever there was a karmic connection in the Buddha lands of the ten directions, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River. In those other Buddha lands, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Samantraprabha of the east, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Padmapāṇi of the southeast, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Vigataśoka of the south, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Prabhākara of the southwest, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Matigocara of the west, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Ratnaviśiṣṭa of the northwest, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Jayaprada of the north, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Viraja of the northeast, Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Tuṣṭisaṃgṛhīta of the zenith, and Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Padmottara of the nadir, each arrived here together with immeasurable hundreds of thousands of koṭis of bodhisattva mahāsattvas, holding various incenses, scattering various flowers, and making immeasurable music to offer to the Tathāgata. Bowing at the Buddha's feet, they silently withdrew to sit, joining their palms in reverence and gazing at the Buddha with one mind.
