The Buddha told King Prasenajit: "As for protecting the Buddha fruition, bodhisattva mahāsattvas should abide thus: when teaching all egg-born, womb-born, moisture-born, and transformationally born beings, they do not contemplate the characteristics of form, nor do they contemplate the suchness of form; sensation, perception, volition, and consciousness; the self, person, knower, and seer; the inversions of permanence, bliss, and purity; the four means of embrace, the six perfections, the two truths, the four truths, the powers, fearlessnesses, and all other practices; and even bodhisattvas and Tathāgatas are also like this—they do not contemplate characteristics, nor do they contemplate suchness. Why is this? Because the intrinsic nature of all dharmas is true reality itself; without coming and without going, without arising and without ceasing, equal to the limit of reality, identical with dharmatā, without duality and without distinction, like open space; the characteristics of aggregates, sense fields, and realms are devoid of self and what belongs to self. This is the cultivation of Prajñāpāramitā by bodhisattva mahāsattvas."
