"Great King! The merit of this Prajñāpāramitā is immeasurable. If there were ineffable Buddhas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, and each Buddha taught and transformed immeasurable, ineffable sentient beings, and each sentient being attained Buddhahood, and those Buddhas further taught and transformed immeasurable, ineffable sentient beings who also all attained Buddhahood, the Prajñāpāramitā spoken by those Buddhas would have immeasurable, ineffable nayuta billions of verses, inexhaustible in exposition. If one were to take a single verse from among those verses and divide it into a thousand parts, and further explain one of those thousand parts, the merit of its phrases and meanings would still be inexhaustible, how much more so all the merit of such immeasurable phrases and meanings! If someone is able to give rise to a single thought of pure faith in this sūtra, that person will immediately transcend the suffering and distress of birth and death for a hundred kalpas, a thousand kalpas, and hundreds of thousands of myriads of kalpas, how much more so the merit obtained from copying, receiving, upholding, reading, reciting, and explaining it to others, which will be equal and no different from that of all the Buddhas of the ten directions. You should know that this person will be protected and remembered by the Buddhas, and before long will attain anuttarā samyaksambodhi."
