At that time, the sixteen kings and the great assembly, hearing the Buddha speak these profound phrases and meanings of Prajñāpāramitā, rejoiced and leaped with joy, and scattered a million billion multi-jeweled lotus flowers, which formed jeweled flower thrones in the sky. The Buddhas of the ten directions and measureless great assemblies sat together upon these thrones, speaking the Prajñāpāramitā. The great assembly held ten thousand golden lotus flowers and scattered them over Śākyamuni Buddha, coalescing into a canopy of floral wheels over the great assembly. Furthermore, they scattered eighty-four thousand puṇḍarīka flowers, which formed a white cloud terrace in the sky; upon the terrace, Prabha-rāja Buddha, together with the Buddhas of the ten directions and the measureless great assembly, expounded the Prajñāpāramitā. The great assembly took mandārava flowers and scattered them over Śākyamuni Buddha and the assemblies. Furthermore, they scattered mañjūṣaka flowers, which transformed in the sky into a vajra-jeweled city; within the city, Siṃhavikrīḍitarāja Buddha, together with the Buddhas of the ten directions and the assembly of great bodhisattvas, expounded paramārtha-prajñāpāramitā. Furthermore, they scattered measureless wondrous divine flowers, which formed a jeweled cloud canopy in the sky, completely covering the great trichiliocosm; from within this flower canopy rained flowers like the sands of the Ganges, descending from the sky.
