1.59

渡河須用筏　到岸不須船
人法知無我　悟理詎勞筌
中流仍被溺　誰論在二邊
有無如取一　即被污心田

To cross a river one must use a raft;
Having reached the shore, one has no need for a boat.
Knowing that person and dharmas are without self,
Once one awakens to the principle, why labor with the fish trap?
One is still drowned in midstream—
Who discusses staying on the two banks?
If one grasps either existence or non-existence,
The field of the mind is immediately defiled.
