經。如來不以至三菩提　演曰。第三結示正義。但由具無相智現證菩提。不以福相具足為因證無上覺。梁本云。如來不由具相得阿耨菩提。雖彼福業為證疎緣非親了因故不說得。

Sūtra: “The Tathāgata does not, by means of […] [samyak]saṃbodhi.”
Exposition: The third part concludes by demonstrating the correct doctrine. It is solely through possessing markless wisdom that one directly realizes bodhi; it is not through taking the completeness of the marks of merit as the cause that one realizes unsurpassed awakening. The Liang translation says: “The Tathāgata does not attain anuttarā [samyaksaṃ]bodhi by means of complete marks.” Although that meritorious karma acts as an indirect condition for realization, it is not an immediate, revealing cause; hence it is not said to be attained [by it].
