2.92

經。須菩提實無有法名為菩薩　演曰。釋云。以菩薩名聖教假說無有一法別名菩薩。欖五蘊成。又真如理中無菩薩相恃何起慢。

Sūtra: "Subhūti, in reality there is no phenomenon named a bodhisattva." Exposition: The explanation says: because the name 'bodhisattva' is a conventional designation in the noble teaching; there is no separate, single phenomenon named a bodhisattva. It is formed by grasping the five skandhas. Furthermore, within the principle of tathatā there are no characteristics of a bodhisattva; relying on what could arrogance arise?
